The Joys of Nursing
DAAAAAMMMMNNIIIIITTTT!!!! I hate having to work for a living. Can't someone just pay me to sit and watch HGTV and DIY, drink diet coke, and blog? I mean, COME ON! Owning your own business has some perks, but there is so much crap to put up with, some days I don't even want to get out of bed. I have to be professional and nice and all that other crap. Sometimes I wish I could just say, "Could you please try to get sick between the hours of 10am and 3pm, Mon thru Fri? I am trying to go shopping and you keep calling me with all these nursing issues and at this moment I don't want to be a nurse. I don't want to come out and look at your pee to see if there's blood in it. REALLY!!!!" But, instead, here I go...to look at the patient's newest "present". Sometimes, if I am REALLY lucky, I get to look at their saved poop. AND if the stars are all inline, I get to view giant loogies that they have saved in a tissue. Yep, the joys of nursing.......

ok, that made me gag.
Ok, my daughter is thinking about going into nursing, so I'm not going to mention this!
My, my, my... Have you ever seen frozen mucus? Cause there is some in my freezer if you want me to send it to you I will... I'll even wrap it up al cute with a bow and everything, I promise!
Hee! I tinkled a little when I saw IM commented! That's okay IM, you keep your snot and I will keep mine, mine being my niece. (dammit)
How about a petrified poo? Cause I have some of those too!
Damn those sick people!
I think its the saved sputum that gets to me most. I can look at pee. Poop? Mey...But loogies...omg. That's when I get a little vomit in my throat. Especially when they want 'me' to take the tissue outa the baggie. Um. No thanks. Why don't 'you' take it out and just show me, lovely caregiver :)
Are you just as excited as I am about HGTV's Summer Showdown? Lisa LaPorta is going to kick butt!
