A Day Late and A Dollar Short

Much thanks to the thousands hundreds fifteen of you that decided to take my quiz and see how bad I had damaged your life. I thought it was pretty funny myself, but 2 of you thought in real life I am a bitch. And for the record, I really only have 7 kids. I can say "only" now thanks to Nadya Suleman. She makes 7 seem like an only child.

As you know I have joined the cult KMFBAG (see the cute pink box to the right there--->) and am dieting and working out. I told you that I would post a picture of me prior to the brainwashing and torture, but I am now thinking I will save it. I am officially the heavyweight contender here and just in case I cave and continue to gain weight, I may have to save that "before" picture for my "after" picture.

Yes, you read that correctly. I have GAINED weight this last week. I gained 2 pounds and haven't had the guts to climb on my wii for the weekly weigh in. So I will weigh when my kids aren't home so my language won't scar them.

I have eaten yogurt, cottage cheese and salads when in reality I wanted pudding, french fries, and lasagna. I have walked, done aerobics, and some yoga when in reality I wanted to sit, blog, and eat chips. I even started taking vitamins and calcium. I am really worrying myself. This new healthy lifestyle is making me all nervous and twitchy. Must be the cheesebuger withdrawals.

The DFW Blog dinner is the 28th, and if you live remotely nearby, I encourage you to make the trip. We have over 20 confirmations so far, and if you want to be a part of this get-together, the email is on my side bar under the heading of DFW peeps, or you can leave it in my comments and I will pass it along. Just confirm, because if I have to give up my reserved chair to you, things will get ugly. I will be jonesing for mashed potatoes by that time and I cannot be held responsible for my actions.

I will do my Tribute Tuesday tomorrow mainly because I am so weak with hunger that I can barely type. Or I am all pissy because I can't eat what I want. Either way, Tomorrow will be Tuesday for me.

If you haven't taken my quiz, look below and see how well you know me. Put it on your blog and have fun making up questions to test all of us. It's a free post so take advantage of my generosity. The next time we talk, I may eat your arm off.

I guess I will go choke down some almonds and pretend they are Pringles.

Eat some damn protein woman. Meat, cheese and salad/veggies. Then combine that with your workout. I promise you will see some results.
I also do protein shakes. They fill you up nicely and I do mine with milk so I'm also getting my calcium. Milk, it does a body good.

Keep trying. Don't give up. I know you will see results soon. Sometimes the first few weeks are the most difficult to get through. So please don't give up.

Chicken is huge for me btw. I eat chicken or turkey in some form - every.single.day.

I'm not trying to sabotage you, it's only because I care, that from my heart, I am sending you virtual doughnuts and a Yoo-Hoo

Aww sis! I'm really proud of you for sticking with it. But I'm with Ded you need to eat something more than cottage cheese.

I'm with Soxy Deb! Protein shakes are awesome-call some gyms and ask if they have a juice bar- if you have a well made protein shake (my fav is strawberry/vanilla)- you won't believe how wonderful they taste and filling they are! Protein is the key of you are feeling weak- believe me- you just have to get over the hump of the sugar withdrawls! Hang in there. When I come to Texas we will be looking HAWT at the beatnik bar, baby (snap, snap)!

You can't fall apart here- that's MY job and I'm counting on you to keep me sane!

If you need some cheesecake, just let me know. I've heard it doesn't have any calories, just so long as you eat it with a spoon.

Girl, get some protein, soon. I want to sit next to you at the dinner, but I adore my arms. I'll sacrifice a finger?

And that's not weight silly, it's MUSCLE!!

Good for you on the 'lifestyle change'. It is so hard. I was seriously craving a cheeseburger when we went out on Saturday. Instead I ate something healthy. I've definitely been more onery than usual since changing my diet. Oh well. That's how it goes. I did see the lowest number on my scale that I've seen in 7 years so it's worth it. But hard!

I am not in your dieting circle cuz I would be the fattest of you all. Then I'd be like the fattest girl on the biggest loser and everybody would point and laugh. Then I would have to hurt somebody so in all actuality, I'm saving lives by not dieting. See how sweet I am. Plus I can only cram down King Cakes for another week. Dammit!!

So, now probably isn't a good time to woot woot about my 17.8 pounds down? Just kidding. Not. But I too want pringles and OMG chocolate!!! My one cheat day has turned into three, so weigh in this week might (will) be really ugly!!

Keep working at it! It'll come off. And good for you for submitting a before picture. I avoid cameras at all costs.

I am not bragging, but I lost 14 pounds since Dec. 14th. (I just went under the 200 pound mark. I am 5'9". (I am not giving you a date summary of myself either). I tried weight watchers, the YMCA, working out like crazy, the 3 day diet...I've never lost weight. Then I tried Clean Eating. It is really helping me. It's easy, my hubby loves the recipes (He's down 12 pounds). I have never been so satisfied, and had such success in my life. Just something to try if you feel you aren't having any luck.

tomorrow's tuesday for me, too!

listen, i am not having any fun in this stupid cult, either.

we need to discuss this dinner of yours. are you planning any sort of tribute, toast, or candle light vigil dedicated to me?

Its very hard to lose weight, but it can be done. Protein, protein, protein!
Be thankful you don't have to go bathing suit shopping right now...cause I have to find one in the dead of winter, still wearing my pregnancy poundage and this is a trip with my in-laws. oy oy oy.

If you can, get some Unjury. You can order it online and it's the most palatable (to me anyhow) of the protein drinks out there. you can mix the chocolate with Skim milk and it's wonderful! I usually mix the strawberry with a handful of frozen fruit, a 1/2 cup of low sugar yogurt and a scoop of strawberry Unjury, in my blender and it holds me over until noon or so.

And yeah, lean protein is awesome!

Oh my goodness, my poor Jill! How did you gain 2 pounds eating the rabbit food? I really don't understand why you think you're so fat though. To me, I just see beautiful.

Justine :o )

You Can Do It!!

Hang in there, I hear that once you get over the starvation hump it's all pounds lost!! You have way more motivation than I do.

I totally think you gained muscle, yea, that's it, muscle. At this rate you will be giving Gov. Schwartzenegger a run for his money!!!

I hate dieting...I know I should, but this ole body thinks I'm crazy when I deprive it of pringles, fries and cheeseburgers. I may just die fat.

Hugz,
Michele

Oh man, you just reminded me that I haven't done the WiiFit thing today.
Geez.

(Hey, if you like soup, did you know that Campbell's Healthy somethin'-somethin' has only 120 to 160 calories in a can? A whole can! Some of those and the WiiFit and those mashed potatoes won't be a problem at all :-> )

I enjoyed your quiz! So, were you able to see what each of us answered?

binks said...

Now I am really confused. I looked at the bottom and nothing. I can't remember if I took the quiz. Did I call you a bitch? And was there something about you being a gourmet cook?
I think I'm having episodes.

Good luck with the diet thing. I am going to start the WiiFit thing again as soon as it is back from the shop. I broke it within 4 weeks.
Ick for me on the protein shakes. When I was on the low fat/no sugar/no salt diet, we had to eat 6 meals a day and the morning snack was egg whites, frozen strawberries and splenda.
Do you have a Bullet blender? it was great for that.

Michelle said...

Wow! You are really sticking with it. Good for you. You need to get some protein shakes. I have a friend that drinks them all the time and loves them. She works out all the time.
I think I need to start exercising.

Great post...liked the honesty. I lost over 80 pounds in 2001-02 and have yet to put it back on. Best of luck...it can be done.

If you have to eat my arm off...make sure it's the left one. I need the right arm to feed myself without spilling!
