It's a difficult birthday, being the first one since my daddy passed away. He always called me and convinced me that I wasn't really the age I was, because that would mean he was getting old. I miss him so much.
I want to thank ALL of you for the wonderful well wishes and gifts. And mainly for your friendship.
I am off to spend the day with poor Rick who has said we would go shopping. He has no idea what he is in for.

And, I totally understand the sadness you feel about your dad. Maybe your dad and my dad (who passed in January) are up there having a scotch and laughing about their daughters' blogs (which my dad doesn't even know I write)

My dad passed away in May, but I wasn't filled with the urge to shop, but rather to try to figure out a way to bring him back.
I haven't succeeded, yet.

This was before I started mommy blogging. The anniversary surgery was for the fractured skull and hematoma. The jaw surgery was only three months prior. It was a rough year that one. Enjoy! (I can only say that because you are a nurse.)
BTW: I am soooo sad I forgot about the anniversary, because I really wanted to post the pic of my post-surgery with a half bald head, healing from 42 staples that had recently been removed. I love that pic!!!
